THE RUNDOWN
A game that started with a special pregame ceremony honoring
Christian Cox's 1000 career points ended with a dominant Trojan victory over the Nolan Catholic Vikings. The 69-43 win was fueled by a crushing second quarter in which TCA outscored NCHS 21-4.
The trio of
JJ Price (20 points),
Christian Cox (24 points) and
Drake Smith (10 points) buoyed the Trojans in scoring. Defensively, TCA was all over the visiting Vikings, cranking up the pressure with 21 points created off 17 turnovers.
The TCA defense was so dominant that four Trojans registered multiple steals. Price, Cox, and Smith each recorded three steals apiece, as
Ericksen Appel added two of his own in a suffocating defensive effort.
