Senior guard
JJ Price has committed to play basketball at Dallas Baptist University. JJ had a distinguished career on the TCA basketball team. He broke every school 3-point record, including most 3-pointers made in a career (257), most 3-pointers made in a season (153), most 3-pointers made in a game (12), best career 3-point percentage (39.4%) and best 3-point percentage in a season (42%). He also joined TCA's 1,000-point club as one of only 20 players to ever score more than 1,000 points in a career. For his senior season, he was named
team co-MVP and earned Second Team All-State and
First Team All-District honors.
"When coaches talk about 'self-made' players, JJ is a true example," says Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach
John Price. "His commitment to becoming the best version of himself is evident in both his skill and competitive spirit.
"Dallas Baptist University is gaining a tenacious young man who embraces the grind, competes with purpose and represents something greater than himself. He will be an outstanding ambassador for TCA and the Lord Jesus Christ."
The DBU Patriots basketball team is coming off a successful 29-7 season in which they won their conference regular season and tournament championships and made it to the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen.
