THE RUNDOWN
The Trojans reverse-swept Coram Deo 3-2 Thursday night at the MCB Gym. The come-from-behind win — in a grueling five-set match where no game was decided by more than five points — seems to perfectly reflect the resolve and mental toughness of this team under new head coach Erin Terry.
The Lions took the first two sets of the evening, claiming both games by excruciatingly close margins (25-22, 28-26). However, the Trojans refused to buckle, as they climbed back in the third and fourth sets and ultimately played their best game when it mattered most in the fifth and final frame.
THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
– Despite playing 12 of their first 14 matches this year on the road or on a neutral court, the Trojans boast a +.500 record and have already matched their win total from last season.
– TCA can now enjoy an extended stay in the comforts of the MCB. After a quick pit stop at Prestonwood on Tuesday, the Trojans will host three matches in a row in front of the home crowd in Addison.
– The Trojans improve to 2-1 in games decided in five sets.
