THE RUNDOWN
A five-touchdown night from senior halfback Topper Sterling lifted the Antonian Apaches to a win over the Trojans in the area round of the TAPPS playoffs last Friday night in San Antonio.

TCA (3-8) kept pace with Antonian in the first half. The offense scored 21 points in the first two quarters and continued to find creative ways to the end zone throughout the game. The first Trojan score of the evening came off a crafty trick play as Walker Zolfo took the ball in motion and dumped it off to a wide-open Will Loukas.

Trailing 35-21 after the half, TCA threatened to grab momentum once more as Jude Tredennick took a kickoff return all the way to the house for the Trojans' first touchdown of the third quarter. However, the ground game of the Apaches refused to be stopped, as Antonian pulled away for the rest of the game.
