THE RUNDOWN
The Trojans dropped a home district game to Parish Episcopal by a score of 55-14 last Friday. A six-touchdown outburst through the first two quarters of the game granted Parish a sizeable lead that remained mostly unchallenged the rest of the evening.
However, the Trojans were not without their own share of highlights. Quarterback Davis Crumrine connected with Chase Griffin for a 50-yard one-handed touchdown grab just before intermission. The impressive throw-and-catch marked Crumrine's longest touchdown pass of the year and Griffin's seventh touchdown reception of the season, the second most by a private school wide receiver in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Campbell Laible found the end zone in the fourth quarter for his seventh touchdown of the year. The senior halfback continues to keep pace with the top rushers in the metroplex, ranking third in total touchdowns (7) and fourth in attempts (86).
