THE RUNDOWN
The Trojans (11-10-2, 2-1) swept Liberty Christian on Tuesday night in Addison. With the win, the Trojans move to 2-1 in district play and remain within striking distance of Nolan Catholic for the top seed in TAPPS 6A District 1 standings.
Despite several key members of the Trojan lineup being unavailable due to injury, TCA opened the game in dominant fashion, winning the first set by 10 points (25-15). The Trojans then erased a four-point deficit late in the second set, ultimately winning the frame 26-24.
The dynamic duo of Olivia Whorton and Nora Newman fueled the Trojan offense to the 3-0 win. Both Lady Trojans recorded 20 kills apiece en route to TCA's first win over Liberty Christian since the two teams became district rivals in 2024.
