The Trojan Cross Country teams competed in their first meet of the 2026 season at The Colony Cross Country Kickoff. The meet was held at The Colony Five Star Complex and featured a 2-mile figure eight course.

Vanessa Dessommes led the way for the Trojans with a top-25 finish in a time of 14:13. Elly Orozco was the second finisher for the Trojans with a time of 16:03.

On the other side, Hayden Dunn was a medalist finisher, completing the course in 11:38. Freshman Preston Tom was the second Trojan to cross the finish line in a time of 12:50.

Up next for the Trojan Cross Country teams is the Woodhouse Invitational August 15 in Maypearl, Texas. The young Trojan team will compete in a loaded field featuring some of the top teams in North Texas.
