Vanessa Dessommes etched her name into the TCA Cross Country record books Thursday, posting a personal-best time in the two-mile at the Boyd Yellowjacket Invitational.
The junior finished fifth overall, crossing the finish line in 11:43 to set a career and program-best mark. Her performance continues a steady progression throughout the 2026 season and her three-year career as a Trojan.
According to head coach Marcus Moore, Dessommes ran the same course as a freshman in 15:40. Three years later, she has nearly cut four minutes off her two-mile time, a testament to her continued growth and dedication to the sport.
Dessommes' consistent work ethic has propelled her to the top of the Trojan Cross Country leaderboard and cemented her place among the program's all-time leaders.
