Trojan Cross Country hit the course early Saturday morning to compete in the Woodhouse Invitational at Lakeview Camp. Vanessa Dessommes was the top finisher for the Trojans for the second week in a row, completing the 5k course in a time of 20:34. She placed second overall in the division. Hayden Dunn continued to shine for the Trojans. Dunn finished ninth overall in a course time of 17:08. Jessie Lu competed in her first meet of the 2026 season and placed 30^th out of more than 100 runners.
 
The Trojans were tested across the 5k course that featured a 3-lap loop through the camp grounds. The competition was filled with some of the most prominent teams in the state among the University Interscholastic League's (UIL) top classifications. Up next, the team will compete in the Kaufman Run with the Lions August 20 at Kaufman Sports Complex.
