THE RUNDOWN
The 2025 Trojan Cross Country program opened the year by competing in the Colony Kickoff on August 7. Nine Trojans suited up for TCA, with seven girls running in the 3200 and returning veterans Avery Womble and Hayden Dunn lacing up on the boys side.

Vanessa Dessommes placed ninth overall, leading the way for TCA. The sophomore's 14:59.75 final time was followed closely behind by first-time Trojan, Jessie Lu (15:13.26).

THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
– The Colony Kickoff marks the official start of the 2025-26 athletic season.
– Jessie Lu (10th) earned the first top-10 finish of her young career.
– Alongside Lu, fellow Trojans Lilly Lowe and Emily Radovic made their freshman debuts.
