COUNTDOWN TO FIRST PITCH
The TCA varsity softball team travels to Frisco this Tuesday, April 29, at 5 p.m to take on Legacy Christian in the opening round of the TAPPS Division I softball postseason. The Trojans and Eagles prepare to meet for the first time this year, with the winner advancing to the regional round to face the winner between Liberty Christian and Ursuline.

TCA STORYLINES

– The Trojans ended the regular season with a 4-5 record in district play, securing wins in three of their last five district games.

– Senior slugger Mae Sharpe leads the team with an eye-popping .585 batting average in district action. The fourth-year Trojan also leads the team in hits (24).

– Junior Ella Krone has put together a stellar season, both offensively and defensively. She has pitched all but 5.0 of TCA's 70 district innings played and also leads the team in runs batted in (14).

SCOUTING THE EAGLES

– Legacy Christian begins postseason play with a full head of steam, as the Eagles have been winners in four of their last five.

– During that stretch, the Eagles have averaged 16 runs per game.
