Senior right-hander
Ryan Janacek turned in a performance for the record books on April 10, pitching a no-hitter to lead TCA to a dominant 14-0 victory on the road at Parish Episcopal.
Janacek finished with six strikeouts in five innings as the Trojans run-ruled the Panthers. Both sides were scoreless through two innings, but the TCA offense exploded for nine runs in the third inning on their way to 11 hits and 14 runs.
Trent Sedberry set the pace on offense with a home run and three RBIs, but every batter contributed.
"What a special night for Ryan and the Trojan baseball team," TCA Varsity Baseball Head Coach Pat Leach said. "A no-hitter requires a full team effort and is incredibly rare, demanding a perfect blend of luck, skill and sheer grit. Ryan had excellent command of all four of his pitches, and our defense was outstanding behind him. This unforgettable performance will be remembered for years to come!"
Congratulations to Ryan on a historic achievement and to the entire varsity squad for a stellar team win.
