THE RUNDOWN:

On Saturday, the varsity track & field program put together a strong showing at the Roger's Relays hosted by First Baptist Academy. The Lady Trojans lead the way for TCA, placing second in a 22-team field with 96.0 points. 

The Lady Trojans swept the relays. Winning first in the 4x100, 4x200 and the 4x400 relays.

Individual contributions from Ella Eubanks (second in discus) and Rachel Rice (third in the 800 with a personal best time of 2:32.13) helped bolster the Lady Trojans point total. 

Girls 4x100 relay: Lyla Swaldi, Lilly Nugent, Ainsley Pool & Dannica Jenkins 

Girls 4x200 relay: Phoebe Brantley, Dannica Jenkins, Lilly Nugent, Ella Eubanks 

Girls 4x400 relay: Ella Eubanks, Rachel Rice, Carsen Prideaux, Lilly Nugent 

The boys also enjoyed a strong showing, placing fourth in a field of 24 teams.

State champions Kevin Carter and Ryan Elms each delivered strong performances. Carter won the pole vault, and Elms helped the Trojans fend off district rival Nolan Catholic by taking second in the 400-meter dash.
