Markus Schumacher makes his return to TCA as a member of the football coaching staff. A TCA alum, Schumacher is a TCA lifer who earned first-team all-district honors while helping lead the Trojans to a 9–2 record his senior year in 2022.
After graduating from TCA, Coach Schumacher played football at Southern Methodist University. He contributed in 15 games over two years and was part of an offense that ranked No. 8 nationally in scoring in back-to-back years under head coach Rhett Lashlee.
During his time with the Mustangs, SMU also won the 2023 American Athletic Conference title and earned a spot in the 2024 NCAA College Football Playoff as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
