Jim May has coached at TCA since 2017. He coaches the running backs on the varsity football team and also serves as the head coach of the junior varsity football program. Additionally, Jim also works with the varsity track team, coaching pole vault. Coach May boasts 15 years of coaching experience. He has also coached baseball, basketball, soccer, and softball.
Jim May graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Information Systems & Quantitative Business Analysis. He lettered three years in the Baylor football program and played in both the Peach and Cotton Bowl. Coach May was a captain of the 1978 4A Texas State football champion Houston Stratford Spartans.
After graduating, he went to work for IBM as a Marketing Representative. He became the President of J.V. Folsom Service Company and is currently the Athletic Operations Assistant at TCA.
Coach May and his wife, Deanne, have been married for 40 years. They have two children, Melissa, Eric and his wife Belinda, and two grandsons, Myles, a 3rd grader at TCA and Max, a 1st grader at TCA.
