Austin Sonju closed out an impressive wrestling season with a second-place finish in the 165-pound weight class at the TAPPS state championship on February 14.

The junior had already made a mark earlier in the month with a fourth-place finish at Prep State, a performance that earned him a spot at Prep Nationals in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. His success reflects a season of hard work and steady improvement on the mat.

"Austin has put in a lot of hard work this season and it has paid off," said Coach McBride. "I'm excited for what he'll accomplish next season as a senior."
