THE RUNDOWN
Today, the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) announced that 12 Lady Trojans have been named to all-district soccer teams. TCA's 12 selections set a new school record and arrive on the heels of a 12-win season where the Trojans won the district championship in a 2-0 shutout win over Nolan Catholic.
In addition to the 12 selections, several members of the program are awarded with district superlatives. Coach Truman Blocker has been named Coach of the Year for leading the Lady Trojans to the district crown. Senior keeper Hannah Adams is the Goalkeeper of the Year for her duties in the net this season. Another standout defender, Caris Collins, earns the district Defensive Player of the Year title for her efforts in anchoring the Lady Trojans backline.
Both Adams and Collins were named First Team All-District selections for their stellar defensive performances. Joining the tandem on the first team roster are offensive standouts, Lilly Nugent and Peyton Walton.
Along with the four Lady Trojans who bring home first-team honors, five more earned Second-Team All-District selections: Phoebe Brantley, Evelyn Keramidas, Hannah Applewhite, Shea Spivey and Lauren Prideaux.
Hannah Yeager, Annie Blocker and Iris Bell round out the All-District roster loaded with TCA talent.
