THE RUNDOWN
The competition cheer team finished second at the TAPPS Cheer Championships last month in Waco. One of the state's top programs in recent years, TCA scored 93.88 points to edge out Covenant Christian School (93.68) for the runner-up spot and earn a superior rating.

Lake Country Christian School of Fort Worth claimed the Tier II state title with a score of 103.48.

Senior Ella Bricker was named a First Team All-State selection alongside sophomore Addy Gadoci. Bricker earned First Team All-State honors for the second consecutive year.

 Katie Spears was TCA's lone Second Team All-State honoree. A four-year member of the competition team, Spears received All-State recognition for the second straight season.

Senior Katelyn Westover rounded out the All-State honors with an honorable mention selection.

THINGS TO KNOW
- TCA has earned a podium finish at state in each of the past three seasons. The Trojans also won TAPPS titles in 2023 and 2024.
- Bricker and Spears were also named Academic All-State selections.
